KICK ASS SLUMBER PARTY!!!
I had 3 of Mike's nieces over for a slumber party last night...and WOW what fun!! Two decided not to come at the last minute mostly because of some inner family dispute that is ridiculous and too long to get into now..besides this is about the fun!!
This is the run down:
5:30pm everyone arrived, played in the yard until about 6:30
7:00pm ate pizza on the deck with our coats on freezing our asses off!!
8:00pm started coloring eggs.....and I turned on the Toby Keith Unleashed
cd ....and was I ever surprised when all 5 kids burst into song!!
nothing like a hunk of burnin' love to liven up a party!!! These are
my kind of kids!!
8:30pm I take it upon myself to share the joy and prank called almost every-
one we know. Sorry if we missed you because it was GREAT!!
Thank you Kym for picking up!! They sang and colored 5 dozen
eggs until well after 9:30pm.
10:00pm everyone was in their jammies and we watched The Cat in the Hat.
sleeping bags covered my living room floor, and my house was full
of giggling. It was great!
11:45pm Preston and Avery went to bed with their Daddy and I took up
residence on the couch. My kids are no fools..nice bed and warm
Daddy is much better than oak floors with no air mattress.
12:00am Everyone is out cold...except me because I am compelled to take a
trip through the house to make sure the stove is off and a light is
on...all my ducks in a row...
7:00am Avery is wide awake and whispering in my ear.
7:30am I'm trying to get a cup of coffee in me while everyone is chanting
"pancakes!"
8:00am Pancakes it is...fancy heart shaped pink ones with sprinkles!! I'm
the greatest auntie in the world!! I love food coloring!!
9:00am EGG HUNT!! Mike and his brother, Fred, helped hide 2 dozen eggs
and also helped the kids hunt them while I ran the video camera.
It was a memorable family moment. Preston informed all that he was
"a good finder egger!!" I agree.
9:30am Feed sack race! Hanna won!! Hooray for Hanna! She's 5 almost 6.
(two of the girls were 10 so I thought this was a great feat) P. had
a strong second to last finish as he fell soon after leaving the gates.
And A. finished last gracefully climbing out of her bag and running
to the end. Hooray kids!!
12:00pm Everyone was gone and we had some lunch and the kids fell into
bed with no fuss!! Wish I could have fallen asleep..just couldn't.
So, that was our day! Now my ass is kicked and I'm ready for bed!! Mike is going back to work on Monday! Hooray for Mike!(and me) I love to have a kick-ass party! Full strength Koolaid and everything!! There is nothing better than a house full of laughter.
