Hello Friend

Hello old friend...it's been too long since we last chatted. I have had a busy couple of weeks. I spent this past week with my parents. They were on vacation which consisted of a giant list of things to do....first and foremost...painting the house. Me and the troops loaded up on Tuesday morning and headed out to help with the scraping.

I was an absolute vision in my hard hat complete with face mask and safety goggles on the top of the extension ladder. We spent all week sweaty and dirty. The kids played in the creek and climbed the tree with my brother's tribe. They had a ball. Only a few minor scrapes and bruises to show for it.

While I was there I also managed to turn the heel on my second sock and whipped up a dish cloth. Had to one up my Gram who is a knitting machine!! :) I finished the new Kathy Reichs book that I'd taken along. We had an early birthday party for Preston that my Aunt and Uncle came down from Massillon for. I did a gazillion haircuts as I usually do, and got to visit with my friend Kelly and her family as well. It was a good time.

Today is a clean this before I scream day. I must finish my cabinet so that Mike can mount it this afternoon. (The word mount always makes me giggle) I also have a shelf to hang and a counter to clean off as well as a garden to hoe up.

OH! I almost forgot...I took Melanie to the Dr. on Monday and after fighting traffic forever we finally got her there on time...barely. Me and the kids went to see Mike at the Lane Ave. mall where he is building a Bed,Bath&Beyond. I stumbled across the Larson's toy store...hooray for us! We also lunched with Mel at Wild Oats which was a first for me. Wow! Wild Oats was definetly "Food Disneyland". So we got to have fancy day in the city with Melanie and it was great fun!

....a day in the life of a crazy mama.....

7:45am wake up...yikes it's late for us!

8:30am dishes...phone call....someone needs a highlight in an
hour. Again YIKES!

9:00am dashing around house cleaning like a freak.

9:45am phone...she's running a little late...whew...hooray

10:30am arrives...weave in progress

12:00pm done...tell kids that after lunch we will fill their pool
Did they eat? No! Whose kids did I think I had anyway?
Eat..or ...Swim....go figure.

2:30pm laying poolside, reading, and basking...nice

2:45pm chatted with my jazzy friend Kym whom I have stolen this
blog format from because I think it's grand. Am
compelled to chat with her on phone only because I know
how much she hates it. And because I love her. Thanks
for humoring me. *kisses*

3:30pm Avery emerges from the house with the whole package of
bologna. Preston follows with a chunk of cheddar and a
knife. Hooray for self sufficient kids.

4:30pm Race to Walmart for tampons and frozen pizza.

6:30pm Scrambling around searching for a video case that must
be returned to the library tonight.

7:15pm Library.....yea!

7:45pm At store buying the forgotten Gatorade. Preston asks the
clerk "what happened to your teeth?" She was missing
several...poor thing. I thought I would die. How
humiliating. Tried to explain in car about how sometimes
without ever meaning too we may hurt peoples feelings.
That's a tough one to call...any suggestions?

8:10pm Home

8:45pm bath and bed time....Hooray! Have survived another day.
Am home free.

9:45pm smell something strange in kitchen. Must clean out
fridge tomorrow.

10:15pm call Katye

10:30pm discover source of bad smell....DEAD MOUSE! In the food
cabinet. Managed to squirm trap and all finally expiring
between a can of peas and a can of green chiles.

10:35pm disenfecting cabinet. grossest job ever!! Why do I have
cats??

10:55pm pack Mike's lunch and write note reminding him of the
Gatorade.

11:00pm Log on the blog and watching the news...

12:00am am now home free....for awhile anyway...Goodnight!

12:01am I am smiling as I no longer feel the need to clean the
fridge. Hooray for me.

****Thank you Kym for this great idea!*****
