Hello Friend

Hello old friend...it's been too long since we last chatted. I have had a busy couple of weeks. I spent this past week with my parents. They were on vacation which consisted of a giant list of things to do....first and foremost...painting the house. Me and the troops loaded up on Tuesday morning and headed out to help with the scraping.

I was an absolute vision in my hard hat complete with face mask and safety goggles on the top of the extension ladder. We spent all week sweaty and dirty. The kids played in the creek and climbed the tree with my brother's tribe. They had a ball. Only a few minor scrapes and bruises to show for it.

While I was there I also managed to turn the heel on my second sock and whipped up a dish cloth. Had to one up my Gram who is a knitting machine!! :) I finished the new Kathy Reichs book that I'd taken along. We had an early birthday party for Preston that my Aunt and Uncle came down from Massillon for. I did a gazillion haircuts as I usually do, and got to visit with my friend Kelly and her family as well. It was a good time.

Today is a clean this before I scream day. I must finish my cabinet so that Mike can mount it this afternoon. (The word mount always makes me giggle) I also have a shelf to hang and a counter to clean off as well as a garden to hoe up.

OH! I almost forgot...I took Melanie to the Dr. on Monday and after fighting traffic forever we finally got her there on time...barely. Me and the kids went to see Mike at the Lane Ave. mall where he is building a Bed,Bath&Beyond. I stumbled across the Larson's toy store...hooray for us! We also lunched with Mel at Wild Oats which was a first for me. Wow! Wild Oats was definetly "Food Disneyland". So we got to have fancy day in the city with Melanie and it was great fun!
