endings.........new beginnings.....

Well our first year of preschool is drawing to a close. I never thought we'd make it....but alas...it is here. They had a "field day" at the playground with loads of races and games. It was SSSSSOOOOO FFFUUUUNNN!! Avery and I enjoyed it as much as Preston (maybe even a little more). My boy is growing up. On Tuesday night is their spring program and graduation night. How exciting!!?? How scary!!?? Oh, scary for me way more than for him. As this school year ends I am already full of anticipation for the next school year to come. My sweet boy will be off to the big world of kindergarten and thanks to Mrs. Huntsberger he is ready. I, however, am not. My girl baby will be off to preschool in the afternoons!! What's a girl to do with herself for 2.5 hours 3 times a week???? Gives new meaning to "new beginnings"...........

We went to 3 graduations this month. How proud I am of these 3 nephews of mine. They are all so full of excitement and life! Makes me think back to my own senior year. How different I am now. How much my priorities have changed. What I might have done differently. I never really wanted to have kids and now I wouldn't know what to do without them. In my children's eyes...I am a hero...and that's enough.

Salads???? Who me???

Ok, I'm reporting in so that the world can stop rocking on its axis. I ate not 1 but 2....count them 2 salads today! The first one this afternoon for lunch with some tuna salad mixed up on top with some cherry tomatoes, cheddar, and a bit of ranch.

This evening I made tacos for dinner so I made myself a taco salad. I put refried beans on the bottom of my bowl and then I crushed half a taco shell. I put the lettuce on next, then the taco meat, some cheddar, the other half of the taco shell crushed, and topped the whole thing off with some taco sauce and sour cream. It was yummy! It sure beat eating 4 whole tacos. Look at me go....

and by the way......

I'm fucking starving right now!!!!!!!!!!

....and she was all nestled snug in her bed......with visions of cheese sticks dancing in her head...

I've been attacked.....by message boarders

It all started with a simple question....."What do you know about invisible fences?" This has started an avalanche of comments mostly mean and nasty comments making me feel like I'm some horrific animal abuser. Let me explain....

About a week ago Dingo went across the road and was chasing after the neighbors horses. Then the neighbor came out with his shotgun in hand and gave me the "he has about one more minute before he gets a bullet" warning. YIKES! So he yelled at the dog and of course Dingy came right back home to us as he is very timid of men. As I would be when they are wielding rifles.

Long story short, I know my dog shouldn't have been there in the first place. Am taking full account of this in every message I posted. Also, I never leave him outside unattended nor would I, fence or no fence, invisible or wooden.

So in the past couple of days while innocently trying to gather info from other aussie owners I have been riduculed, yelled at, made fun of, bullied, and degraded, and from people who don't know and love me!!!!! How could it be? I'm sooo not trying to harm the dog, or the neighbor's livestock for that matter. Seriously, I'm giving my cat insulin shots twice a day for Pete's sake! If Johnson can take a hundred pokes in the ear with the glucose monitor and two shots a day, I think it's not asking to much to have your beautiful, healthy, aussie stay in his own damn yard.....even if it takes a small jolt!! The fence has an audible sound warning as well as a visible flag warning before the shock takes place anyway.

The only good thing to come of this question was that I got my first private message from another dog owner. He has border collies and they are very similar to aussies. Very agile, jumping regular fences because it's fun, herding, etc... I was happy to hear from him...he private messaged me to tell me that he posted on my thread so that I would know. He was afraid that maybe I had stopped following because of all the negativity. How nice was that??

There really are kind people out in the world.....they just seem to be harder to come by.

So, my question remains unanswered.....to fence or not to fence.....invisble.........
