cookies galore
I am half way through the 200 cookies I'm making for VBS this week. I opted for no-bakes as they won't heat up the house so much. I'm being very cautious with the big electrical stuff in the house as we had a major dilema last week with the dryer vs. the fuse box. Fuse box won.
I thought I'd be making a few dozen cookies but they asked if I could make enough for one night. 2 cookies each x 100ish kids = Di sweating over the stove for several hours longer than she anticipated. What else is new???!!!!
My son is now 6! Yikes!
My daughter found her backpack for school. The Disney Princess's of course. It turned out to be only $5 at the Family Dollar. Much better than the Brat Dolls one at the Walmart. She doesn't know shit about Bratz. At least this one I know she knows who the damn characters are. Did I ever mention that I hate licensed stuff?? My kids are to little to understand the whole marketing world and they are suckered right on in to wanting what they know blazened across their backs. Hell Avery was falling apart the other day because I wouldn't bend on the Bratz one. I knew she'd find one she would like so much better......she is so a teenager in a four year old body. Can't wait to go school clothes shopping.
Hoping to lay low this week as last week totally kicked my ass. Off to lay on the couch and read Tapping the Dream Tree by Charles DeLint.......I love fairy tales.
